An unusual 19th Century cavalry trooper's sabre, the hilt a 1821 Pattern three bar guard with ribbed wooden grip, stamped 'OSBO...' (possibly Osborn, Birmingham), to a curved blade similar to the 1796 pattern light cavalry sabre, stamped to spine '(?) & R', the other illegible/rubbed, in steel scabbard with twin suspension rings.
